Together, with Jason Monday, the Director of Comptroller Programs and Audit for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), our former Senior Manager, Malik Powell-Hodge, CPA and Senior Associate, Carmen Harley, published an article titled “Defense Finance and Accounting Service Working Capital Fund: 21st Unmodified Audit Opinion Success Story” in the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) quarterly publication, Armed Forces Comptroller. This article highlights how it is possible to create a positive audit experience while maintaining auditor independence. The Auditor, Williams Adley, and the Auditee, DFAS team, showcase how this can be achieved through persistent efforts and collaboration, easing the course for DFAS in receiving their 21st consecutive unmodified audit opinion.
